 Choice $550 New September 2! Huge O Obverse, F-109 Small O Reverse, Choice Original, Tenafly Collection.. I've seen few 1839-O F-109 examples in any grade during my two decades plus of working with Seated dimes. The F-109 variety results from the pairing of "Huge O" obverse with another Small O reverse; its origins are not well understood to this day. The reverse exhibits a small O mintmark but from a different style punch fr0m previously documented dies of that year. The F-109 die pairing is the last use of the "Huge O" obverse die as most of the lower devices are effaced at this point. The Tenafly Collection presents a wonderfully original VG10 offering with CAC approval. Is this the only known F-109 with CAC green bean? I believe so. GFRC images provide an accurate illustration.
