The 1853 No Arrow design continues to be many times scarcer as compared to its later omnipresent With Arrows counterpart. Reviewing the PCGS population report will make this fact readily apparent. CAC has approved 38 examples with the majority being in Mint State grades. This offering is one of two at the EF45 grade with six better through AU58. F-101a, struck with heavily clashed dies. This near-gem is fully impressed and features unabraded surfaces overlaid with a natural coin gray patina. The F-101a die state is listed as part of the Liberty Seated Dime Top 100 Varieties set.
