 Gem $850 New September 2! Satiny Aquamarine Cartwheel Luster, Gem Original, Tenafly Collection.. A gem 1887 Philadelphia Seated dime with satiny cartwheel luster that was original sourced from the Woodlands Collection via GFRC. The obverse is covered with a layer of transparent aquamarine patina that adds faint golden hues when viewed under bright light. The reverse is similar with golden shades being more dominant at the rims. Strike is 100% complete with bold devices throughout obverse and reverse. A review of this lot's provenance indicates an initial consignment by the Birmingham Collection during late 2014, then acquired by the Woodlands Collection with follow-on sale into the Tenafly Collection during January 2021, Considerable patience and effort will be necessary to locate a more compelling 1887 dime at this grade level.
