The 1914-D is one of the three big condition keys in the Indian quarter eagle series, the others being the 1911 Denver and 1914 Philadelphia issues. Gem examples are decidedly elusive while in near-gem, this issue becomes more available. This pedigreed lot displays glowing satiny luster from green-gold colored surfaces. Mintage was limited to 448,000 pieces. Housed in 2013 NGC holder with special brown Eric P. Newman pedigreed label. The lot includes the original Colonel Green paper storage envelope. PCGS #7947.
