The 1873 No Arrows Closed 3 date sports a mintage of 40,000 pieces and is rare in all grades. The majority of survivors are in circulated grades clustered within the G04 - VG08 range and also at the VF25 - EF45 level. In all AU grades, the PCGS population report indicates nine pieces. With CAC approval, 1873 Closed 3 is an important offering since only 11 are approved in ALL GRADES. This example offers natural crusty gray patina that validates the strict originality. Strike is uniform and fully executed while the surfaces are entirely unabraded. If contemplating or actively building a set of Liberty Seated quarters, then this offering should be secured given a rarity consistent with the elusive 1849-O key date but at a much lower price point.
