 Choice $695 Small O, Choice Survivor, Lasalle Collection. Dull gray surfaces, as expected for a mid-circulated grade specimen, are well preserved and essentially unabraded. Peripheral gold is noted at the stars and reverse legend. The 1843-O issue sports a respectable mintage at 986,000 across multiple die pairings. This LaSalle Collection offering is Briggs 1-D which can be attributed by the presence of reverse vertical shield lines extending into the horizontals as documented by Briggs. A diagonal die scratch through the dentils between star 8 and the cap is also readily noted. A solid example that offers a typical strike with accurate grading. Housed in a PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
