 Choice $775 Challeging Philadelphia Issue, Choice Oriignal, LaSalle Collection. A scarce date in all grades due to silver arbitrage during the 1850 through early 1853 time frame. Much more challenging than its reported mintage of 177,000. This LaSalle Collection example was struck with the Briggs 2-B die pair without any repunching on the date digits. A choice original with natural gray patination and typical strike. Surfaces are well preserved and essentially unabraded. Housed in new NGC holder with special John McCloskey Collection pedigree label.
