The Seated community is well aware of the historical significance of initial San Francisco mint issues as nearly all went into western fronter circulation. Choice survivors are a prize as is the case for this 1856-S survivor from the Lasalle Collection. Worthy of it GFRC-Choice quality rating, this lot presents silver-gray colored surfaces that are undoubtedly original. Further valuation arises from "dirt" with the protected areas. The date is very scarce is EF and rare in AU rendering this offering as being quite compelling. Housed in a PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder.
