 Choice $2000 Difficult Early San Francisco Date, Rose-Gray Patina, LaSalle Collection.. The 1858-S Seated quarter issue becomes especially difficult in EF and better grade, and it's no slouch at this VF30 level either. The LaSalle Collection specimen is a choice survivor with natural rose-gray patination overlaying steely fields. The toning is deeper surrounding the stars and reverse legend. The Obverse strike is typical while the reverse is nicely uniform. Surfaces a minimally abraded and pleasing given the time in circulation within western mining town communities. A quality lot that is housed in a PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder.
