 Choice $1000 Later Die State, Aquamarine-Gray, Choice Original, LaSalle Collection. 1869 San Francisco struck Seated quarters, when located, will be found with a distinctive "look". Strikes are in low relief with a light to medium coloring being typical. Later die state examples be seen with an arcing obverse die cracks in a concentric ring with respect to the rim. This LaSalle Collection release is quite pleasing with a thick aquamarine-gray patination that is consistent on both sides. This piece is blemish free, choice and should please even the most selective collector. The PCGS grade is conservative which adds to the overall value. Housed in a PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
