 Gem $1650 New September 15! Gem for Grade, Rich Frosty Luster, Bold Strike and Presentation, Sooner Collection. A well preserved 1849 WB-5 strike with crisp luster that is best described as steely and/or reflective. This Seated half was struck with fresh dies that still remain a considerable amount of die polishing lines. Die lines are particularly acute on the reverse. Overall coloring is copper gold with dark shades at the peripheries. Fields are essential free of abrasions with just a few scattered micro ticks of no consequence. Eye appeal is most pleasing during in hand viewing and bright light inspection. Housed in newer NGC holder with edge view insert.
