This gorgeous 1855 New Orleans strike, previoulsy from the Spring Branch Collection, was recognition as being a difficult lot to photograph. However, the proof like fields and outstanding bright light eye appeal make this a compelling lot. GFRC images accurately capture the mottled rose-gray toning as seen during in-hand inspection. Under a bright light, the field offers a steely reflectance Strike is boldly impressed with every miniscule device detail being well defined. A shallow field depression below star 4 is a planchet defect and as struck. This gem belongs in an advanced collections being assembled. Housed in NGC Gen 17 (2004-2008) holder with CAC approval.
