$1000 		Prooflike, Repunched Date, Near-Gem at Grade. CACG grading standards are very strick to the point that their certified coins are higher quality that those being stickered in PCGS and NGC holders. Case in point is the superb 1879 F-105 lot that has secured the coveted Prooflike certification. The mirrors are sharply reflective under a bright light and provide a nearly cameo contrast to the frosted motifs. Light rose-gold is noted on both side with a deep blue arc on the lower reverse. Light field chatter is consisten with the grade though the eye appeal is substantial for an MS62. CAC has approved five prooflike MS62 examples with a single certified by CACG (this lot) though the population does not reflect such. I will be in touch with CACG to have this corrected. Housed in new CACG holder and graded to strict standards employed for CAC stickering approval. December 1969
