Wholesome and naturally toned best describe this lovely 1876 quarter that also brings an important die variety component. This is a Briggs 3-C example with both a repunched date coupled with misplaced digits. The base of a repunched 1 is seen to the left of the final 1. What appears to be misplaced 87 digits are seen in the denticles immediately below the final punch. Granular frosted luster is noted under a bright light with moderately patinated orange-rose and deep blues on the obverse. Golden shades are predominate on the reverse.
