Choice $925 New October 13! Scarce Civil War Issue, Choice Original, Sheffield Collection. The first year of Liberty Seated half dime at the San Francisco mint arrived during 1863 with only 100,000 pieces struck. This fact leads to considerable scarcity in AU or better. This lovely AU55 example is only one of three presented graded at CACG and offers bold frosted luster and a complete strike. Hints of gold are seen under a bright light with the GFRC images presenting silver coloration. Even light wear is noted under a 10x along with an obverse line below the right scroll end. Housed in new CACG holder and graded to strict standards employed for CAC stickering approval.
