Description: Estes Starblazer X-20 model rocket kit #1342 was marketed for only two years within the 1980 and 1981 catalogs. The skill level 3 kit was released at same time as the Galatic Pirates but without a strong connection to Patrol Cruiser Excaliber and the Dragon Ship 1 theme kits. The Starblazer X-20 packaging includes a Version 2 rainbow paper hang tag (large letters) along with a green and yellow facecard including a multi color X-20 rocket. The classic Este launch sequence diagram is visible on the lower right side of the facecard and indicates a maximum flight altitude of 800 feet.
Kit Contents: The kit features main body tube, plastic nose cone, fin pattern sheet, balsa sheet, engine hook, engine retainer ring, multi color decal sheet, launch lug and instruction sheet.
Availability: The Starblazer is a rare kit with few appearances on eBay. The above images were take from an August 19, 2012 listing where the winning bid was a strong $106 but quite consistent with it rarity.
