Description: Estes Nomad model rocket kit #1344 was marketed for only three years during 1980 through 1982 catalogs. The kit utilizes a Version 2 rainbow paper hang tag (large letters) along with a maroon, purple and blue facecard including a multi color Nomad rocket. The facecard also has the classic Estes launch sequence diagram. At over 44 inches, the Nomad was one of the taller Estes kits on the market during the early 1980's.

Hang Tag (Header Card) Guide

The Nomad is a skill level 2 scale like model of a ICBM surface to surface missile. The model using a plastic fin unit surrounding an 18mm engine mount rather than traditional balsa fins. It is powered with 18mm engines and employs an 12" parachute for safe recovery.

Kit Contents: The kit features main body tube, payload body tube, plastic nose cone halves and tube adaptor halves, plastic fin unit halves, an engine mounting system, multi color decal sheet, launch lug and instruction sheet.

Availability: Estes Nomad kits are scarce on eBay. Finding a nice original kit with problem free rainbow hang tag will take considerable patience and diligent effort. Rainbow hang tags are often found with some damage as the paper in thin and becomes quite fragile with age.
