Description: Estes Xarconian Destroyer model rocket kit #1903 was produced only in 1983 and 1984 with black paper hang tag and light blue background facecard and overlaid Xarconian rocket.
The Xarconian Destroyer is a futuristic skill level 3 design described as a deep space alien battle cruiser. The rocket is capable of up to 750 feet flights and recovery is with a 18" parachute. Usage of an A8-3 engine, as recommended by Estes, for this rocket is probably not advised as the rocket weighs nearly 2.2 oz.
Kit Contents: The kit contains a main body tube, special plastic nose cone, die cut balsa for fins, engine shroud paper card, a wood dowel, huge three color decals, 18mm engine mount, launch lug and instruction sheet.
Availability: Collectors can find Xarconian Destroyer kits on eBay with some patience. This kit is moderately scarce and typically sell in the $30 to $55 range.
