Comments: Previously described in the Gobrecht Journal by John McCloskey, July 1981. John indicated his example weighed only 33 grains, some 8 grains lighter than genuine pieces. All seen have been in a white metal. One of the more common counterfeit seated dimes. Found with varying degrees of reverse rotation.
