1856 Small Date

Counterfeit 102

 Obverse 1: Crude Dies

Reverse A: Crude Dies

Obverse 2                                                Reverse B

Comments: Most likely made of brass as reported by Winston Zack. The coin is either well worn or was not well struck up as details are extremely weak with the date being the most discernable attribute. It is difficult to judge if the counterfeit dies were hand made or generated from a host coin. The bogo is struck slightly off center on obverse from 7:00 - 11:00 and weighs 2.2 grams
