Gem $1500 Gem Original, Rich Rose-Blue Patina, Brilliant Reflectance, An Anonymous Consignor. This is a richly toned and gem 1870 F-101 proof offering that most likely spent time in a felt or velvet lined cabinet based on the obverse toning colors. Note the deep intermixed rose and blue patina that is quite thick and partially mutes the underlying reflectance. The reverse is lightly toned with a gorgeous blue-gold presentation under a bright light along with sharp mirrors. Fields are pristine and without hairlines. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.6 (2013-2014) holder. Please note that the holder is well worn with some haze that impacts the clarity of the devices within my images. From an anonymous consignor.
