 Choice $1385 Important San Francisco Reconstruction Era Date, Brilliant Frosty Luster, Complete Strike, City By The Bay Collection. 1869 brought the inauguration of Ulysses S. Grant as president of the United States along with Wall Street operators attempting to corner the gold market which nearly took down the entire U.S. economy in what became known as Black Friday. On the west coast, Seated dime production rose to 450,000 pieces with a few more coins being saved in Mint State condition. This important survivor is a City By The Bay Collection duplicate and is being released to the market. Its brilliant frosted luster is readily evident under angled lighting along with moderate cartwheels. Strike has been fully executed on this F-102 die pairing with a small thin S mintmark. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with 10 certified at grade.
