Of the 300,000 struck, few Mint State survivors are known. The PCGS population stands at eleven certified with four CAC approved. The struggle is further exacerbated by poor mint workmanship, including weak strikes coupled with rusted and lapped dies. Based on research background, this example was acquired during May 2006 via Legend Numismatics.as one of the finest survivors to arrive at the market in modern times.
