Bender and Massachusetts Collections, this magnificent 1849 Seated dime is a rarity in Gem Mint State. Released from the Bender Collection, when Tom was still actively upgrading his Liberty Seated Dime set via GFRC and other sources. Now this lot return to the price list courtesy of the Sheffield Collection. This eye appealing NGC graded MS65 specimen offers vibrant cartwheel luster emanating from thick frosted surfaces. Strike is deeply impressed with high relief obverse and reverse devices. A light violet skin covers the obverse while the reverse toning being more peripheral, but with the same shades. Accurately graded and housed in newer NGC holder. Definitely a prize for the passionate Liberty Seated dime collector.
