 Gem $1500 New April 11! Cameo Designation, Superb Gem Original, Colorful Mirrors, Emerald Collection. 1879 saw a dramatic reduction in silver coinage production across Liberty Seated denominations. On the other hand, proof strikes remained steady with a mintage of 1,100 pieces across four die pairs. This F-102 proof strike garnered a Cameo designation and rightly so. Colorful reflective fields are a joy to view while the primary motifs are lightly frosted. Center gold is nicely framed by a peripheral sky blue ring on both the obverse and reverse. Fields are absolutely pristine as one with expect for the certified grade.
