Variety 102
Obverse 2: Weak Base Above 87, Medium Level Date
Reverse B: Die Scratches In Lower Wreath
Obverse 2 Reverse B
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)
Comments: Ahwash refers to Obverse 2 as the "normal date" in his Encyclopedia. There is considerable weakness in the base directly above the 8, 7, and 9 digits. There are long die scratches in the leaves on the lower left wreath.
I have found proofs from this die pairing to be the more "common" of the available proof strikes.
