 Cleaned $175 Lapped Dies, Retoned, Light Gray Patina, New Jersey Collection. A classic example of the F-101a variety and die state with lapped obverse and reverse dies. This variety comes with poorly defined head and stars along with erratic reverse wreath leaves. The offered example has seen an old time cleaning resulting is reflective surfaces at the EF45 grade level. Faint hairlines are visible in the obverse fields with most covered by a new layer of gray patina. Removed from a Library of Coin album and off the market for several decades.
