 Choice $750 Choice Original, Reflective Cartwheel Luster, Mottled Gray-Lavendar Patina, Mirrored Fields, Hammered Strike, Accurately Graded, New Jersey Collection of Liberty Seated Halves. A wonderful 1847 Philadelpha strike with reflective cartwheel luster and light mottled gray-lavendar coloring. A JUST BUY IT NOW recommendation is warranted. Obverse fields are mirrored with residual diagonal die polish lines seen behind the date digits. Reverse fields are closer to steely than mirrored as compared to the obverse. Patina is transparent to the underlying obverse luster while a tad thicker on the reverse. Strike is absolutely hammered with high relief stars and deeply impressed reverse devices. A no question choice original example that is housed in older NGC holder with standard ring insert dating back to the late 1990s. Yes, I know this gorgeous half is housed in NGC holder and does not have CAC approval. But in hand inspection is highly recommendated due to the above average surfaces, strike and eye appeal.
