Description: This listing is for the Estes Vigilante #1278 kit with Version 2 skill level facecard and black paper hang tag. The pink color designates a skill level 2 kit and is a carry over from the Estes skill level marketing approach started during 1973 or there about. Facecard is pink and white color with overlaid static Vigilante rocket in gray and black colors. The kit name is shown with black letters. The lower section of facecard provides kit number, skill level designation as intermediate, kit specifications and engine recommendations.
Kit Contents: The Estes Vigilante is a two stage kit featuring main and booster body tubes, plastic nose cone, two balsa fin sheets, 18mm engine mount assemblies for booster and main body tubes, an 18" parachute, launch lug, decal and instructions.
Availability: I believe the Vigilante with a black paper hang tag is more difficult to locate than examples with the pink skill level hang tag. For the time being, I've rated this kit variety as scarce.
