Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                 Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: On Obverse 1, the date digits slope upward. A defect connects the ball of the 5 digit with the upright. There are die chips around Stars 3 through 6 and Stars 12 and 13. Within Liberty's gown folds, the obverse die shows minor rust damage.

On Reverse A, the Medium S mintmark tilts right 4 degrees. There is a faint die crack through the tops of STA(TES).

A challenging date overall due to low mintage and survival rate.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, PCGS AU55 - Ex. Cook
