Comments: The date punch on Obverse 2 is level with respect to the base. Stars 8 and 9 exhibit die defects between their points that face Liberty's arm. The region between the star points is filled on Star 8 and partially filled on Star 9. Die chips are present around Stars 3 through 6. Reverse B exhibits a Medium S mintmark that is well centered both horizontally and vertically. Use the mintmark position as a quick diagnostic point to identify Variety 102 and 103 versus Variety 101.
