Comments: Variety 112 features another 1871 obverse die with weakness at (OF A)MERICA. On the few specimens seen for this variety, Liberty's head is always weakly struck. The date punch is high and essentially level with a date position measurement DR 0B1.
Several faint die cracks can be seen on Reverse K. None are significant enough to photograph. Instead a quick die crack map is shown per above.
