Comments: Some flatness in the striking of Liberty's head can be expected with this date. The obverse dies have 
been designated as either "Complete 3" or "Broken 3", as numerous dies are found with a partial lower loop on 
the 3 digit.  It is unknown if two separate date punches were used or if a single date punch became defective 
after registering the date on a subset of the 1883 obverse dies.  Rarity estimates for this date will need 
further investigation, as it has been impossible to attribute all 1883 dimes seen through the course of this 
research.
