Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: The date on Obverse 11 appears to be obliquely punched from left to right with the 1 digit being the strongest impression and the 85 digits being weakest. Slight repunching is seen on the bottom portion of the flag on the 5 digit. There are die cracks surrounding Liberty head and upper body as illustrated. Reverse K exhibits die cracks in the wreath elements with three exiting to the rim at 6:00, 9:00 and 10:30. The obverse and reverse dies are clashed on the plate coin.

Take care in attributing Obverses 4 and 11 as both have date punches that are positioned DR -1B0 and show a high date that slopes downward. On Obverse 4, the date is uniformally punched and is stronger than Obverse 11. Obverse 4 also exhibits a misplaced 8 digit in the denticles below the first 8 digit in the date.
