Obverse 8                                                 Reverse H

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                  Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Obverse 8, in this early die state, shows slight weakness in Stars 1 through 4. Use the date position as the diagnostic point for Obverse 8. Reverse H shows minor die doubling throughout the wreath and within some of the letters in the legend. Examples of this doubling are presented above for (AM)ERICA and on the left side of the left ribbon end. Several die lines are noted behind (AME)RICA. These fade quickly.
