Comments: Business strikes were struck from the same die pair as used for proofs. Obverse 1 has a delicate legend which easily wears and may be partially missing on dimes grading Good through Fine.

Reverse A has several minor die defects on the letters within the denomination. See above macro photos for detailed illustrations of Reverse A defects. The Reverse A die will again be employed during 1864 for incremental business strikes.
