Comments: Obverse 2 and Reverse B proof dies are reused for business strikes.

Surprisingly Reverse B was previously used in 1863 to strike proofs and a small number of business strikes. There are several die defects on Reverse B that deserve discussion and confirm a match with 1863 coinage. A defect is found under the base of ON(E). There is a diagonal defect on the lower third of D(I)ME. Finally, a die defect is visible on the left diagonal of DI(M)E.

Both Obverse 2 and Reverse B are clashed during the generation of business strikes.
