Comments: Reverse A has a die line diagnostic point on the outer wreath leaf at 9:00. There is a die defect on the left diagonal of DI(M)E. On the plate coin, doubling is evident in the outer left side of the wreath with strike doubling being the suspected cause. Both Ahwash and Greer indicate that Variety 101 is the scarcer of the two 1867 San Francisco mint die pairs.
