Comments: The Small Thin S is much more common than the Small Weak S. Late die state examples of Variety 101 can be found with considerable die erosion. The Small Weak S die pair has a higher probability of being found well struck. Reverse B, with the Small Weak S, will be re-used during 1870 and 1871 to strike additional San Francisco dimes.
