Comments: Only one Type I reverse and die pairing has been identified for the 1878 Carson City date. Obverse 1 presents a medium level date. There are two die defects on Liberty's upper arm near the gown clasp. The typical die doubling for Type I reverse dies is evident on Reverse A. The final E's in ONE DIME are strongly doubled.
