Comments: Both the second 8 and 0 digits in the date are broken. The 8 digit shows a broken punch at the bottom of the lower loop, while the 0 digit shows signs of a broken punch at 6:00 and 11:00. The second 8 digit is also repunched at the top of the upper loop. There is a die defect on the right upright of the 0 digit. (S)TATES exhibits strong doubling. Reverse B is rusted throughout the wreath and denomination. The die rust is readily evident on the denomination.
