Comparison of Date Repunching Between F-102 and F-102a Die States

Comments: Obverse 2 shows considerable loss of repunching details during this later die state. It is possible that Obverse 2 was polished to eliminate the repunching as the depth of the base and Liberty is reduced from the initial die state during Variety 102. The date measurement shift to DR -1R as a result of the polishing.
Reverse B displays a bisecting die crack from the ST(A)TES, down through the upper left wreath, down through (O)NE D(I)ME and through the bow knot to the rim. Other die cracks are shown via the enhanced mapping of Reverse B above.
