Comments: All the digits in the date touch the bottom of the base. Later die state examples might show a small space between the top of the 6 digit and the bottom of the base. Ken Hill lists this obverse as Variety II during his study of 1856 Large Date obverses in the Gobrecht Journal.
Reverse B features a bold die line behind the right ribbon bow.
