Scarcity: Fairly common in lower circulated grades but becomes scarce in EF to AU grades. Finding nice original and
problem free examples in EF or better will be challenging.

Comments: Variety collectors will be limited to date position variations for 1858 dimes. Most dates slope downward, making
the task of obverse die attribution a bit more difficult. 1858 dimes with die cracks are scarce since the limited mintage
of 1,540,000 pieces appears to have been evenly produced across the nine business strike obverse dies. None of the date
placement varieties are difficult to locate.
