Comments: All 1858 proof examples originate from a single die pair. Obverse 1 exhibits a downward sloping date. The loop and upright of the 5 digit are joined by a defect in the punch. On Reverse A, there is a die scratch from the upper right corner of the left part of A(M)ERICA to the rim.
