Variety 107

Obverse 5: Medium Date, Downward Slope

Reverse F: S Over S, Repunching Right, Medium S, [mm C,H,TR5]

Obverse 5                                               Reverse F

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: On the Reverse F die, the Medium S mintmark is repunched left. The right outline of the earlier Medium S is very visible to the right of the final S. The upper loop of the first S mintmark is also clearly visible within the upper loop of the final S.

Brian Greer indicates this variety was discovered by Todd Stickel and is very scarce. My own findings agree with that assessment.
