Obverse 3: Stars 9 and 13 Repunched
Reverse D.2: Reverse Die Flaw, Die Crack Rim to UN(I)TED to Wreath

Obverse 3 Reverse D.2
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: The strong repunching of Stars 9 and 13 can easily identify Obverse 3. Reverse D continues to exhibit a significant die flaw between O(N)E and DI(M)E with a minor flaw between O(NE). This later die state of Reverse D now shows a die crack from the rim through UN(I)TED to the wreath and a second from the wreath through A(M)ERICA to the right rim. Two different obverse dies are paired with Reverse D and unfortunately, distinguishing the two die marriages can be difficult due to similar date and star placements. Use the repunching on Stars 9 and 13 as the predominate diagnostic for Variety 105. The second obverse pairing, Obverse 8, does not show any repunching on Stars 9 and 13.
