Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: The Obverse 7 device details are weaker when compared to the other 1840 No Drapery obverse dies. The weakness is most likely the result of the obverse die being lapped before transfer into production. For those collectors who are less familar with the separate 1840 No Drapery dies, Obverse 7 can be diagnosed by its date position and a strongly repunched Star 7. Star 10 also shows signs of repunching at its upper point.
