Variety 107a

 Obverse 6: Medium Level Date

Reverse C.2: Die Crack Rim through (S)TATES

Obverse 6                                                 Reverse C.2

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                   Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: During this later die state no additional obverse diagnostics appear for Obverse 6. Date position remains as the only diagnostic point.

Reverse C develops a die crack from the rim down through (S)TATES to the wreath. This die state is called Reverse C.2. After the Obverse 6 and Reverse C die pairing, Reverse C will be paired with Obverse 3 to strike additional coinage. Once again, look for a die crack from rim, through (S)TATES, to wreath as the diagnostic for Reverse C.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, NGC MS65 Ex. Eliasberg
