Comments: I believe that the Variety 110a business strikes are from the 1841 With Drapery proof dies due to similar obverse date placement and weakness in the reverse wreath. The date position is the only diagnostic for Obverse 8.

Through September 2005, this date placement variety had proven to be elusive in a Mint State grade, however a PCGS MS62 example recently appeared on the Steve Estes website allowing for a significant upgrade to the previous VF20 plate coin.
